About Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley
Rebuilding Together is a nationwide non-profit organization aimed at improving the quality of life for low-income homeowners through much needed repairs. Rebuilding Together Silicon valley is one of 252 independent affiliates serving over 900 cities nationwide.
Every year Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley (RTSV) gathers donated materials and hundreds of volunteers to repair and rehabilitate homes and non-profit facilities. Each year during April and October we coordinate Rebuilding Days where we provide life changing home improvements on 20-50 homes in a single day. Combining Rebuilding Days and our Neighbor to Neighbor program, every year RTSV is able to improve the lives of 100+ homeowners-in-need through our mission of warmth, safety, and independence. Our repairs and home modifications for safety include: wheelchair ramps and other accessibility improvements, plumbing repairs, appliance replacement, heating installation and repair, safety rails, ramps, steps, repair of windows, locks, smoke alarms installation, weatherization, earthquake-proofing water heaters, interior and exterior painting, and yard cleanup.
Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley is the only organization that provides repair work for low-income homeowners and nonprofit facilities leveraging the skills and resources of volunteers in our community.
