Join us on October 19, 2024, for the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk in Raleigh, North Carolina. This annual event brings the community together to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research and patient support.
The run/walk will take place at NC State. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to run or walk the 5K course. The event will feature a survivor's tent, survivor's ceremony, kid-friendly activities, refreshments, health and wellness vendors, and more!
1 in 8 men will, 1 in 6 Black men, and 1 in 5 Veterans will face a prostate cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. Prostate cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer death in men. Education to understand risk and when to begin screening is crucial to help reduce late-stage diagnosis and improve the quality of life for patients.
We need volunteers for:
- Race Day Setup
- Course Monitors
- Water Station
- Kids Zone
- General Event Support
By volunteering for the ZERO Run/Walk, you are helping to make a difference in the lives of prostate cancer patients and families. Over 12,500 people participate in ZERO Run/Walk events across the country each year, raising over $4 million for prostate cancer research, support programs, and early detection.

Description
ZERO has been on the front lines fighting for a cure for more than twenty years. Together, we’ve made a significant impact on the fight against the disease. ZERO is also rated 4-stars by Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator.
ZERO offers comprehensive support for prostate cancer patients. Starting with education, we provide millions of men and families with disease information through our website, printed materials, videos, and webinars.
Our ZERO360 team of experienced case managers help patients access financial resources, cut through insurance and Medicare red tape, and find emotional support. For men with advanced prostate cancer who could not afford treatment, our financial assistance program provided grants to more than 48,000 men.
We pioneered mobile testing for prostate cancer, alerting men across the nation to lifesaving information and reducing prostate cancer mortality rates through early detection. We continue to support early detection and free testing with local partners across the country.
The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk Series is the nation’s largest event series dedicated to men’s health. For more than a decade, the series has helped raise awareness and unite men and their families across the country as a powerful force in the fight against prostate cancer.
