The American Space Museum is seeking a skilled and motivated Remote Grant Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in securing funding to support our mission of preserving the legacy of space exploration and inspiring future generations. You will research, identify, and apply for grants from foundations, corporations, and government agencies that align with our mission and programs.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the museum’s goals and initiatives.
- Write compelling and persuasive grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting documents.
- Collaborate with museum staff to gather necessary information for grant applications, including project details, budgets, and outcomes.
- Track and manage grant application deadlines and submissions.
- Assist in preparing progress reports and updates for awarded grants to ensure compliance and maintain strong relationships with funders.

**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing grants.
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to craft clear, persuasive narratives.
- Familiarity with the nonprofit sector and a passion for space exploration or science education is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple grant applications simultaneously.

Join us at the American Space Museum in downtown Titusville, where we celebrate the incredible achievements of America's space pioneers. Our 6,000-square-foot facility is filled with unique artifacts and stories that honor those who made space exploration possible. As a volunteer, you'll help us bring history to life, engaging visitors with personal stories, hands-on experiences, and an inspiring look into the past and future of space exploration.

We also offer **STEAM Space**, an exciting educational program featuring monthly activities for kids, innovative camps. You'll have the chance to contribute to this dynamic program, helping to ignite curiosity and creativity in the next generation.

Our museum operates 6 days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., welcoming visitors with a suggested donation. As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to guide guests through interactive exhibits, including a mission control console used during the Apollo and Shuttle programs and a vintage NASA desk complete with a rotary phone and typewriter. You'll work alongside former space program workers who offer unique, first-hand insights into our space history.
