Volunteer Digital Marketing Manager (Remote)
Organization: Amateur Astronomers Association (AAA), NYC
Commitment: 5-10 hours/week (3-6 months, with potential to extend)

About Us:
The AAA is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting the study of astronomy through public outreach, events, education, and astrophotography. We're seeking a volunteer to lead our digital marketing for an end-of-year fundraising campaign.

Position Overview:

The Digital Marketing Manager will play a critical role in planning and executing AAA’s end-of-year digital marketing campaign to help us reach our fundraising goal of $20,000. This is a volunteer position for someone passionate about digital marketing and eager to contribute to a nonprofit focused on science education and community engagement. The role requires a strategic, hands-on approach to managing other volunteers operating our digital channels including social media, email marketing, and digital ads.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute a digital marketing strategy to help us reach a $20,000 fundraising goal.
  • Manage social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and ads to drive donations.
  • Oversee email marketing, including donor appeals and event updates.
  • Optimize the AAA website’s donation page with compelling content.
  • Track and report campaign performance, offering data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital marketing, preferably for nonprofits or fundraising.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Passion for astronomy or nonprofit work is a plus!
