A.I.R. Project, which A.I.R. in A.I.R. Project stands for Abuse Is Real. We provide abuse and violence prevention education through social emotional learning, expressive arts, and providing positive quality of life experiences to youth and families in communities of color. Our mission is to empower youth and communities of color to defeat abuse through education and expressive arts. We are dedicated to promoting positive relationships, lifestyles, and mental health and rely on the support of our community to make a meaningful impact. To help us continue our vital work, we are seeking passionate and motivated fundraising volunteers to join our team.

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting our fundraising initiatives. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about making a difference and are interested in learning more about nonprofit operations, donor engagement, and event coordination. Your efforts will directly contribute to our ability to raise funds that support our programs and services.

  • Assist in planning and executing fundraising events charity auctions/raffles, crowdfunding campaigns, and community outreach events.
  • Research and identify potential donors (individuals, businesses, and foundations) to help expand our donor base.
  • Support grant writing efforts, including researching opportunities and assisting with drafting proposals.
  • Help manage donor communications, including sending thank-you letters, maintaining donor databases, and preparing donor updates.
  • Create fundraising content for newsletters, social media, and other promotional materials to increase awareness and engagement.
  • Collaborate with team members on brainstorming new and innovative ways to raise funds.
  • Track fundraising progress and assist with administrative tasks related to donations and funds received.

Description

We are humanitarians helping and educating victims and at risk youth and young adults (ages 8-18) of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, bullying and other forms of abuse and violence.

We believe that society as a whole is affected rather directly or indirectly when someone is a victim of abuse or violence. We also believe that when we work together and create a joint effort between our victims and communities that we can have stronger homes, communities, and societies.
