ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Virgin Islands National Park is looking for some charismatic iodized captains that are willing take on an adventure. The position requires our captains to live in their boats for the duration of the season and have an accompanying dinghy in which they will be able to cleat onto the parks dock for quick necessities. We are looking for those who understand real Island living, including heat, humidity, and lackluster technological connectivity. Bay Hosts will be a part of our Fee & Revenue Management Branch but, they will not collect fees. Their most important task will be to ensure that park visitors have a safe and informed visit. Our bay hosts are required to enjoy sunrises, sunsets, and beautiful beaches. This is a uniformed position.


DISCLAIMER:

  • Bay Host volunteers cannot be an active charter in the USVI while volunteering for Virgin Islands National Park
  • Bay Host volunteers are required to live onboard their boat while volunteers.
  • Bay Hosts boats must be actively registered in the United States of America.
  • Mooring ball cannot be used to store boat.
  • Holidays may be required to be worked.
  • Position requires 32 hours worked weekly.
