In-Kind Donations Volunteer Role Overview: The In-Kind Donations Volunteer will work to secure donated goods and services to support the "Roots to Wings" initiative. This role focuses on sourcing items for dormitory kits, as well as securing other donations such as furniture, moving services, and supplies from local businesses and community partners. Key Responsibilities: * Reach out to local businesses, retailers, and manufacturers to secure in-kind donations for dormitory kits (e.g., bedding, toiletries, furniture, and school supplies). * Develop and maintain relationships with businesses and organizations willing to donate goods or services. * Coordinate the logistics of receiving, sorting, and distributing donated items. * Work with the administrative team to track donations and ensure that donors receive appropriate recognition. * Identify potential partnerships with companies that can offer ongoing support for in-kind donations. Time Commitment: 6-8 hours per week, depending on the availability of donation drives and outreach efforts. Skills/Qualifications: * Strong networking and communication skills. * Ability to build relationships with local businesses and organizations. * Experience with or interest in donation procurement or nonprofit partnerships. * Organized and detail-oriented to ensure accurate tracking of donations. Expectations: * Volunteers are expected to actively seek out and secure donations that will directly support the program. * Maintain timely communication with donors and ensure that all in-kind donations are properly recorded and utilized.
