Support youth in your community as Director of the Red Cross High School Leadership Development Camp.

Do you enjoy working with youth in 9th-11thgrades?

Do you possess excellent leadership skills?


The Red Cross is looking for an exceptional volunteerwho is uniquely gifted in leadership, public speaking , and also has great organization and management skills.

As Camp Director you will manage all aspects of camp including recruiting delegates, hiring and training of camp staff as well as program implementation and annual improvements.

This amazing opportunity is a year-round, long-term volunteer role. We are looking for someone who can commit to this role for 3-5 years. Time commitment varies from 6-60 hours per month and increases closer to camp. Applicants must be able to attend camp the last week of June each year.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 25
  • Orientation or Training
  • Will vary over the year. About 6 hours a month Sept.-Feb. Starting in March volunteer hours will increase up to 60 per month, mostly virtual, some in-person meetings and then attending camp.
  • We are looking for a long-term volunteer commitment of 3-5 years. Shorter commitments will be considered for the right candidate. Volunteer virtually for 6 months, then some in person meetings. Must attend youth camp last week of June.
