Marketing Director (Volunteer)
Location: Remote or Queen Creek, AZ (In-person opportunities available for local volunteers)

Are you passionate about sustainability and skilled in marketing strategy?
Waste Free Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Marketing Director to amplify our mission of promoting sustainable living and waste reduction. In this role, you'll work closely with our executive team to drive impactful marketing efforts that engage and grow our community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase our reach and engagement
• Manage and analyze digital performance using tools like Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics
• Plan and execute engaging social media campaigns and event marketing efforts
• Oversee and collaborate with the Content Creator to ensure cohesive and effective campaigns
• Communicate regularly with the Executive Director and Board to align marketing goals with organizational objectives
• Monitor emerging trends and opportunities in sustainability to inform marketing efforts

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies
• Experience with Meta Business Suite and Canva is a plus
• Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for environmental advocacy

No formal degree required. Ideal for those pursuing or completing a Marketing or Communications degree, or anyone passionate about nonprofit marketing.

Commitment:

• Up to 10 hours per week
• Bi-weekly virtual leadership meetings (1 hour)
• Flexible, remote-friendly schedule with opportunities to attend in-person events if local
