Share My Meals addresses food insecurity and food waste by recovering left over food from Corporate donors, school cafeterias and local restaurants and donating to our community in need! We have several opportunities for volunteers in the Princeton area to pick up meals and/or pre-packaged food from our various generous local donors on Monday to Friday, ranging from early morning to early afternoon, and deliver to our hub in Princeton. This food will then be distributed to our community in need. This opportunity will require a car and should take between 30 to 45 minutes including delivery travel time.
Volunteers can sign up for as many weekly deliveries as they wish. Ideally, we're looking for people who can do at least 3 or 4 deliveries a month.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to fight both food insecurity and the environmental impact of food waste by recovering and delivering healthy meals to local communities.
Description
Share My Meals is a NJ-based nonprofit organization that fights both food insecurity and the environmental impact of food waste by recovering and delivering healthy meals to the local community. Working with its local partners, Share My Meals addresses both of these critical issues at once with a unique, tech-enabled model that recovers healthful, prepared meals, and delivers them to families in need. We collect balanced meals made from surplus prepared foods from commercial food service providers and distribute them directly to the homes of families and non-profit organizations, leveraging volunteers and technical solutions to create a seamless, sustainable model.
