Description: Are you excited about shaping the future of global education? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our international event planning team for an upcoming Global Education Fair, where we’ll showcase our innovative Medical Science and Engineering Academy's to a diverse audience. This is a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience, work alongside industry experts, and make a significant impact on the educational landscape. By volunteering for 3 months, you’ll help create an engaging and memorable experience for attendees while showcasing the transformative potential of our innovation programming for students ages 7-17. Come be a part of this exciting project and help us connect with parents, students and educators from around the world!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help with preparing and setting up virtual event platforms, such as audio, video, and interactive elements.
  • Offer immediate technical assistance to attendees, presenters, and event planners throughout the event, addressing problems and guaranteeing a smooth process.
  • Supervise and control the virtual event platform, making sure all sessions, features, and tools are working correctly.
  • Conduct thorough testing of the virtual platform and related technologies before events to identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Develop and update documentation for frequently encountered technical problems and resolutions, and offer training or guidance to event personnel and presenters on how to operate the platform.
  • Help with reviewing technical aspects after events, gathering feedback, and pinpointing areas to enhance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Support Specialist or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful Technical Support campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in overseeing virtual event platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Hopin.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative strategies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for STEM education and commitment to promoting STEM literacy and application.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage with a diverse global audience.
