Founded by Janina Peter and Malish James, Bridging Gaps introduced a pay-it-forward community microloan model to address food security and poverty among refugees. By merging charity and microfinance, we empower entrepreneurs and create sustainable financial structures. Our digital platform secures donations from Europe and the global north, transforming them into microloans that ripple through the community. Unlike traditional repayable microloans, our model is based on a pay-it-forward approach. As businesses thrive, loans are passed on to new entrepreneurs in the same community, creating a sustainable ripple effect of new initiatives and, long-term, new independent financial structures. Donors receive continuous updates on the impactful stories of the entrepreneurs they support through our digital platform, fostering a sense of connection and engagement with the community. This innovative approach not only addresses immediate needs but also promotes lasting, self-sustaining initiatives. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Content Creator. This role provides a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to our mission while developing your professional skills in content creation, writing, and storytelling across various platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Write and design a monthly newsletter that highlights our activities, achievements, and upcoming events.
• Create and share articles that reflect Bridging Gaps' mission and impact on newsletter and blog
• Support the Social Media Manager and other teams/platforms as needed.
• Write compelling blog posts to keep our audience engaged and informed on topics relevant to our mission.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure content is consistent with our overall communication strategy.
• Monitor content performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize engagement.
• Assist in brainstorming new content ideas to increase our reach and impact.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in content creation, writing, or a related field.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Creativity and ability to write engaging content that resonates with different audiences.
• Knowledge of SEO and content optimization techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Prior experience working in an international environment, demonstrating adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
• High level of integrity and dependability.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
