Special Olympics and Law Enforcement have an unique and amazing relationship, this is personafied in Law Enforcement Torch Run(r) (LETR) for Special Olympics who's goal is to raise funds and awareness of the Special Olympics Movement worldwide.
The Area Law Enforcement Torch Run Liason helps coordinate between law enforcement agencies and local event organizer. Our goal is to help connect officers and athletes at fundraising events, award ceremonies. As the Liason it will be your goal to build great relationships between SO and Local Law Enforecment.
You will help facilitate officers and athletes at events, such as but not limited to:
- the MTN Chevy Truck Raffle sales
- the Polar Plunge
- local business sponsored events
- area sporting events
- community outreach events
