Are you passionate about education and making a positive impact in your community? Lauren's House 4 Positive Change Inc is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to supporting at-risk and underprivileged youth by providing essential homework help and reading support. We’re on the lookout for caring individuals who are eager to contribute their time and skills to help cultivate the future of these young minds.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Math & Writing Support: Assist students with their math homework and writing assignments.
- Reading Encouragement: Help kids develop their reading skills by engaging in daily reading sessions.
Commitment:
- Flexible volunteer hours ranging from 2-8 hours per week based on your availability.
- Aim to support students with their academic needs and encourage reading for at least 30 minutes a day.
Your involvement can make a significant difference in the lives of these students, helping them build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their full potential.

Mission Statement
The mission of Lauren's House 4 Positive Change is to provide holistic academic and emotional support to at-risk children, youth and their families primarily in East Palo Alto/East Menlo Park.
Description
Since 2009 we have been providing free after-school and summer programs to low-income and homeless children and youth (5 − 18 years), as well as services for their families. We focus on developing the entire person, with community service opportunities, tutoring and mentoring, enrichment activities, healthy meals, and programs to strengthen the family.
At Lauren’s House 4 Positive Change, we create a safe space that encourages excellence. Our programs are provided free of charge, and they focus on nurturing positive relationships, creating an atmosphere of trust, and building a solid academic, social, spiritual, and emotional foundation for success in life. We offer community service opportunities, tutoring and mentoring, enrichment activities, healthy meals, and programs to strengthen the family. We can also arrange for professional counseling for clients in need of this service.
