Description

BRAVE AURORA (BA) was listed as a non-profit independent organization in Ghana in 2010.

Through the Livelihood Promotion Program, over one thousand rural folks have been trained in various vocational skills like soap making, bee keeping etc and given the necessary financial literacy and physical resources to run their businesses upon graduation. The program also places strong focus on women and improving their economic and decision making powers in their communities.

In the Education Program, BA supports students and young teachers through various stages of education. The organization also provides school infrastructure, teaching and learning materials and capacity building trainings to over 3,000 students and 40 teachers. BA also works with the Ghana Education Service to introduce play-based teaching and learning methodologies into the school curriculum and as well institute guided learning and homework lessons for students

Through the Child Protection Program, BA supports appropriate family-based care for children and the prevention of child violence, exploitation, and abuse. BA started the program with the reunification of 45 children from the Guabuliga orphanage in 2013 and has since supported their health needs, skills acquisition, and education.
