About
Founded by Janina Peter and Malish James, Bridging Gaps introduced a pay-it-forward community microloan model to address food security and poverty among refugees. By merging charity and microfinance, we empower entrepreneurs and create sustainable financial structures. Our digital platform secures donations from Europe and the global north, transforming them into microloans that ripple through the community. Unlike traditional repayable microloans, our model is based on a pay-it-forward approach. As businesses thrive, loans are passed on to new entrepreneurs in the same community, creating a sustainable ripple effect of new initiatives and, long-term, new independent financial structures. Donors receive continuous updates on the impactful stories of the entrepreneurs they support through our digital platform, fostering a sense of connection and engagement with the community. This innovative approach not only addresses immediate needs but also promotes lasting, self-sustaining initiatives. We are looking for two passionate and experienced individuals to join our team as Individual Fundraising Managers. This role provides a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to our mission while developing your professional skills in fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and campaign management.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individual fundraising campaigns to increase donor engagement and contributions.
Plan and execute fundraising events to raise awareness and generate donations for Bridging Gaps' initiatives.
Utilize social media and digital platforms to create fundraising content and reach individual donors.
Manage relationships with individual donors, ensuring consistent communication and donor satisfaction.
Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate fundraising strategies with broader communication efforts.
Monitor and analyze fundraising performance, providing regular reports and insights to the leadership team.
Identify new opportunities for individual giving, including peer-to-peer fundraising and crowdfunding.
Requirements:
Proven experience in fundraising, event planning, or a related field.
Ability to create compelling fundraising content and campaigns across digital platforms.
Experience using social media for fundraising and engagement.
High level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Self-motivated with a passion for social impact and fundraising.
Prior experience working in an international environment, demonstrating adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
High level of integrity and dependability.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in German is a strong asset.
Compensation:
No financial compensation
