  • This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
  • Associates are expected to put in a minimum of 5 hours per week and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.
  • STW™ welcomes volunteers who are seeking skill-based volunteering opportunity. STW™ shall provide "letter of recommendation" professionals who demonstrate outstanding contribution for professional references.
SUMMARY:

Support the Human Resources Group in the area of volunteer engagement and development, helping to make sure volunteering at Save The Water™ remains a fun and rewarding experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists Project Leader, Engagement & Development in creation and execution of virtual training calendar and initiatives.
  • Executes Reward and Recognition Program for STW™- Volunteer of the Month program and LIVE and contributes to improving the process for VOM and LIVE.
  • Helps to lay down the standard operating procedure for the Recognition program at STW™.
  • Helps STW™ to participate in reward programs outside the organization.
  • Assists in executing and devising ways of encouraging people motivation is maintained at the highest order through - Special events, contributing to Newsletter, bringing in new ways of motivating and engaging volunteers.
  • Prepare the engagement calendar for STW™ and ensure to execute each event, by planning, and preparing for the event.
  • Ensure to keep abreast of all new techniques and ways of engaging in a virtual work environment.
  • Complete accountability of volunteer separation - updates checklist, sends out an exit survey, analysis of quarterly reports.
  • Executes STW™Ambassador Program and 30 Day hire checklist and run quarterly reports.
  • Prepare the SOP for Exit, STW™Ambassador Program and 30 days hire checklist.
  • Assists Project Leader in developing training modules for new and existing volunteers.
  • Contribute to the editing and collecting information for the Monthly Newsletter.
  • Assist Project Leader in the execution of the Volunteer of the Month program.
  • Assist in conducting Volunteer Satisfaction Surveys.
  • Participate in the development of Onboarding procedures for the organization.
  • Attend bi-weekly HR Department meetings.
  • Maintains trainee personnel records.
  • Monitors, records, and evaluates training activities and program effectiveness.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates degree completed and comparable work experience (6 months to 1-year full time paid corporate/non-profit work experience).
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with others.
  • Ability to develop and proofread training materials.
  • Ability to function independently in a multitasking environment, as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Apps.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative thinker who is self-motivated.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Eagerness to continuously learn and develop business acumen.
