Job Overview:

The Senior Security Specialist works within the security and business discipline of Identity and Access Management (IAM). This role contributes to the creation of IAM policies and procedures as well as ensures that the right people and machines have access to the right assets at the right time, maintaining the security and efficiency of the organization's digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing Frameworks:

Collaborate with the GRC team to create and implement security compliant IAM frameworks, guidelines, and best practices to ensure information integrity, confidentiality, and availability.

  • Policy Creation:

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of IAM Policies and Procedures as well as documenting IAM processes.

  • Managing User Accounts:

Create, provision, secure, and revoke user accounts throughout their lifecycle, utilizing Google Workspace, Administrative accounts, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Resource Auditing:

Manage change authorization logs and audit access/changes to user accounts and resources to ensure adherence to IAM policies and procedures.

  • Training Development:

Contribute to IAM specific training program development and implementation.

  • Troubleshooting:

Resolve high-priority outages and other IAM-related issues.

  • Defining Standards:

Ensure adherence to IAM standards and procedures.

  • Knowledge Maintenance:

Keep up to date on current and emerging cyber threats and exploit methods.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing systems and user accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace and AWS.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-63 and PCI-DSS.
  • Experience in developing IAM frameworks and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting IAM issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to inform users and leadership of IAM policies and procedures.

Eligibility

Required [at least one of the following]:

  • Currently enrolled in a Cybersecurity education program and within 1 year of completion.
  • 6 months or less from completing a cybersecurity certification (Security+ or equivalent).
  • Currently possess a Network+, equivalent, or higher certification.

Preferred [at least one of the following]:

  • Minimum 1-2 years in IAM role
  • At least 7 years in an IT role with 1-2 years in a leadership role.
  • Currently possess a Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • Bachelors in Cybersecurity.
