Role Overview

As a Nature Counter for CrowdDoing, you'll play a vital role in sharing the stories of our natural world. Your mission is to craft and amplify narratives that inspire environmental awareness and action.

Key Responsibilities Multi-Platform Storytelling for Nature Conservation
  • Develop science-based stories that highlight the connections between ecosystems, biodiversity, and human well-being
  • Adapt narratives for various platforms to reach diverse audiences
  • Create content that encourages a deeper connection with nature
Transmedia Eco-Storytelling
  • Use transmedia techniques to create immersive narrative experiences
  • Connect individual stories of species, habitats, and conservation efforts into a larger, coherent narrative
  • Illustrate the complexities of environmental challenges through interconnected storytelling
Engaging Eco-Content Creation
  • Produce accurate and captivating content in multiple formats (written, visual, audio, interactive)
  • Blend different elements to create emotionally resonant experiences that educate and motivate
Collective Storytelling for Biodiversity
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions to gather diverse perspectives on nature and conservation
  • Weave together stories from various stakeholders, including indigenous communities, scientists, and policymakers
Partnership with Environmental Leadership
  • Work with conservation organizations and scientific institutions
  • Translate complex ecological concepts into accessible, inspiring, and actionable narratives
Eco-Dialogue Facilitation
  • Create spaces for open, respectful discussions on environmental topics
  • Encourage constructive debates on conservation strategies and climate change solutions
Measuring Narrative Impact
  • Develop criteria to assess how storytelling efforts influence environmental awareness and behavior
  • Analyze the effectiveness of eco-storytelling strategies
  • Use data to refine and optimize storytelling approaches for maximum conservation impact
Qualifications
  • Passion for environmental conservation and storytelling
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience in multimedia content creation
  • Basic understanding of environmental science and conservation issues
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people
  • Creativity and adaptability in storytelling approaches
Time Commitment
  • 5-10 hours per week
  • 3-month minimum commitment, with possibility of extension
Location

This is a remote volunteer position.

  • Contribute to meaningful environmental conservation efforts
