Mission Statement
Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response, also known as PHEPR, is the emergency management arm of the Department of Public Health. Public health emergency management is responsible for preparing for and responding to any type of emergency that impacts public health and the medical/healthcare infrastructure in San Francisco.
Description
Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response branch aims to be a trusted partner that fosters a robust preparedness culture and response capacity with a focus on vulnerable populations. We will accomplish this by developing preparedness champions and emergency response leaders, designing a public health emergency response structure through targeted workforce development, evidence-based planning, preparedness education, training, and practiced response.
