The comfort of a dog's wagging tail is the best medicine for patients with Alzheimer's and dementia related illnesses. Looking for four legged volunteers to make friendly pet therapy visits with our Sanctuary Hospice patients in the Cincinnati and Dayton region.
Humans required to complete volunteer application, background check, TB and training-provided FREE of charge. Canines required to provide dog's license, shot records and Pet Partners or TDI certification.

MUST be certified as a Pet Therapy dog!

Description

Hospice Volunteers come from all walks of life, yet they all share a common desire-to enrich their own lives and the lives of others by giving generously of their time, energy and talents. Volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team. Once trained they may work in several areas: Administrative, Direct Patient Care Visitation for companionship and support, Bereavement support, Pet therapy, Music Therapy and many other Special Alternative Complementary services.
