Capital Hospice & Palliative Care is looking for caring, volunteers, who play musical instruments and/or sing, for hospice patients who either live at home, or in long term care settings. Sometimes words can fail us, Musical therapy volunteers help patients and families reconnect with their feelings and memories, which can bring about a sense of comfort, and happiness by singing or playing a familiar hymn, song, or tune.
Musical Volunteers are professional musicians, choir members, music students and teachers, board-certified music therapists, band members, and more, to share music and brighten up the days of all those we serve. As a Music Volunteer, you will be able to provide a beautiful presence through the comfort of your music to our patients and provide peace to our front-line healthcare staff.
When you volunteer with Capital Hospice & Palliative Care we will provide you with personal training, and individual support. We also offer flexibility, and freedom to choose what location you are most comfortable with, and how much time you would like to give. Whether you choose to volunteer once a week or once a month Capital Hospice -values your time with us.
