Recruiting Organization: Journal of Emerging Investigators

The Director of Internal Engagement role is designed to provide on-boarding, connectivity and resources for staff volunteers who are entering the JEI Community. She/he will welcome new team members, coordinate services, access to systems and facilitate introductions. The Director will ensure the new team member has immediate access to information, resources and understands the JEI hierarchy.

1) Onboard new staff

2) Maintain JEI application system

3) Send emails to external graduate departments advertising JEI

4) Create and maintain internal recruitment documents

5) Coordinate internal staff for recruitment

• Your own computer, internet access a space to take an occasional zoom call.
• Willingness to learn-even if a task seems trivial at times, we will be teaching you the basics before handing over more responsibilities.

Preferred Candidates

• Able to navigate a few tasks per week and up to 3 hours/week (flexible for when your schedule is busy)
• Grad student in first or second year who might be able to stay in this role for a couple/few years.
