Project Overview
Volunteer to work alongside our staff team on our beautiful coastal farm doing a variety of activities to help bring educational equity in the outdoors to elementary students and teens across the Bay Area. Get your hands in the earth in our Educational Garden! Learn new skills helping with our Education Barn build! Help take care of our goats and chickens in the pasture! Your support helps us run our free programs for students from historically marginalized communities who otherwise would not get the opportunity to participate in overnight environmental education programs, ensuring students view nature as a place FOR them; a place they have a fundamental right to access to heal, grow, and explore, and a place that influences them as leaders to vote, act, and spend with the environment in mind.
About Vide Verde
Vida Verde’s mission is to promote educational equity by providing FREE overnight environmental learning experiences for students who don’t otherwise get the opportunity. Since 2001, we have served thousands of youth from historically marginalized communities with our core program-a three-day, two-night camping trip, taken as a class during the school year. Our Teen and Family program extends this work with a week-long teen leadership summer camp along with activities throughout the year.
Project Requirements & Important Notes
Tasks will involve physical movement such as standing, walking, bending, some lifting. There are also seated volunteer opportunities available to help our amazing office team!

If you are immuno-compromised, at increased risk for severe illness, or feeling sick at all, please decline your registration to the event and register for a project at a less risky time.
