Sofia is in 5th grade and has been patiently waiting for a BIG Sister for almost a year. She has an older brother and really wants a Sister, someone she can hang out with at a mall, talk to about girl topics, and explore Boston. She likes school and her friends. Likes history, science, writing, but math is not her favorite subject. Her teachers report she is assertive and a good listener. They say Sofia could benefit from a BIG sister providing extra support as she moves into middle school. She is creative and enjoys speaking about women's issues and celebrating women power. She has many interests that she listed in her enrollment interview: soccer, fencing, volleyball, tennis, skating/rollerblading, mini golf, board games, video games, dogs, animals, baking, cooking, skin care, shopping, movies, singing, music, painting, arts and crafts, gardening. She plays cello and violin.

Best fit match would be a young BIG Sister (age 21-35) any race or religion who shares her many interests. JBBBS serves and enages all demographics in over 100 cities and towns in Greater Boston. Spanish spoken in the home but not requirement to be a BIG.
