ORGANIZATION: Greater Cleveland Volunteers

You can help support group participants feel welcomed and supported.

Lead support groups by empathizing with and encouraging those who are just beginning the journey to a renewed life.

Ensure that the group shares responsibility for maintaining guidelines, sustains clear participant boundaries, clarifies goals and reinforces communication skills that encourage group participation.

Must be someone who has a family member or friend livign with mental illness or be someone in recovery.

Must be committed to serving as a facilitator for a minimum of one year.

We connect individuals and groups, aged 18 and over, to volunteer opportunities throughout Cuyahoga County. We offer ongoing volunteer opportunities at numerous partner organizations, as well as done-in-a-day projects.
