Dogs like Amber needs a foster mom or dad to give them a chance at life. Most of our animals come from shelters where they have little chance of finding a permanent home.

Do you love animals and have free time to devote to organizing and managing foster care homes? This can be a hobbie or potentially a full time job for the right person. Organizational skills, computer skills, phone skills are needed to deal with fosters, veterinarians and the public. Background in veterinary care a plus. Make your own hours!

Mission Statement

Castaway Critters is a no-kill organization with the primary goal of helping sick and abandoned animals through a foster care network. Castaway Critters also promotes spay/neuter for pet cats and trap-neuter-return (TNR) as the method for controlling the feral and stray cat population.

Description

No-kill rescue and foster care network that accepts abandoned cats and dogs. There are some limited circumstances under which we may accept owner surrenders, such as terminal illness or an abusive home. We promote trap-neuter-return (TNR) as the humane method of controlling the feral and stray cat population and assist caretakers in formulating a management plan. We accept some transfers from shelters and/or rescues as we have space and available foster homes.
