R ole Description:

Las Tramps is searching for Board candidates with a fundraising focus. We’re seeking individuals who will be an integral part of our leadership team, driving the financial sustainability of Las Trampas. Your key responsibility would be building a culture of enthusiasm for fundraising on the Board and holding fellow Board members accountable for their fundraising obligation; for assisting the staff with identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new funders; and partnering with the Board and staff on the development and implementation fundraising strategies to advance our mission.

Desired Experience:

  • Fundraising Leadership : Guide or Director of Philanthropy on the development and execution of innovative fundraising strategies to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Donor Engagement : Cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors, sponsors, and corporate partners.
  • Campaign Management : Help our Director of Philanthropy oversee major fundraising campaigns and initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and outcomes.
  • Board Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow Board members and the executive team to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
  • Advocacy: Act as a spokesperson and advocate for the organization, promoting its mission and fundraising initiatives within your network and the broader community.

Qualifications:

  • Experience : Extensive background in fundraising, with a proven track record of securing significant contributions.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.
  • Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others in a collaborative environment.
  • Network : A robust network of potential donors and sponsors, particularly in sectors relevant to our mission.
  • Passion : A deep commitment to Las Trampas’ mission and values.

Description

Las Trampas is a non-profit organization that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). For over 60 years, we have been a provider of choice delivering much needed services and programs to adults with developmental disabilities, including Autism, IDD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other similar conditions. Founded in 1958 as a non-profit residential school by parents, family, and community members, our philosophy has always been that persons with developmental disabilities are entitled to develop their optimum state of social, physical, and mental well-being, and share an integrated lifestyle similar to what non-disabled persons are fortunate to enjoy. Currently, Las Trampas provides day program educational and vocational services, residential services, supported and independent living services throughout Contra Costa County.
