The Bureau of Land Management is looking for a host to manage our North Spit Boat Launch site in North Bend, OR. This North Spit is the southernmost end of a series of sand dunes extending along the Oregon coastline from Florence to Coos Bay. The ever-changing habitat is home to a wide variety of mammals and birds, including some threatened and endangered species. Strolling along the beach, visitors may glimpse an osprey diving for fish or whales spouting offshore. A full-sized boat ramp is open for public use at no charge. The duties include opening and closing the gate at the Boat Launch Site. Clean and stock restrooms as daily when scheduled. Weekly, collect garbage from parking lot cans and place into dumpster. Perform landscaping and maintenance as discussed. Pick up litter around the facility and beach picnic area. Inform visitors of opportunities and restrictions as instructed. Report suspicious, dangerous, or illegal activities observed to BLM. Emergencies dial 911. The site is a hot spot of activity for boaters and anglers. The Day Use Area has a small picnic area.
