Do you enjoy sewing, knitting, crocheting, making crafts... we have the opportunity for you!
Assisteo Hospice (Phoenix, AZ) is a Veteran centric hospice in the greater Phoenix area. Over half of our patients served in the military. It’s a privilege for us to serve these men and women on their end-of-life journey. Along with the top-notch clinical care we provide, we also have a robust Volunteer Program that strives to honor our Veterans in ways that are impactful and memorable. We also provide patients and families with companionship visits, music therapy and pet therapy. Additionally, our Volunteer Program also includes a group of amazing crafters that make a wide variety of items as gifts for patients. These are always a HUGE hit and bring lots of smiles!
We are currently looking for a few groups, families, or individuals interested in making the following items:
- Pillowcases (fun, colorful print)
- Adult bibs - washable (fun, colorful print)
- Fleece no-sew/tie blankets (military themed) - currently need U.S. Navy specifically
If any of these are of interest to you, please reach out. I can provide additional details, answer questions, etc.
Serving our community together,
Brian Hetzer, Volunteer Coordinator
