At A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation (ABOH), based in Wayzata, Minnesota, our
mission is to defeat lung cancer by funding groundbreaking research, awareness
initiatives, education, and patient support. We are thrilled to announce our new
partnership with Mayo Clinic to extend our vital patient services to the Rochester,
Minnesota area, bringing compassionate support to lung cancer patients and families in
need.

Transportation to and from doctor appointments is a barrier preventing lung cancer
patients from receiving time sensitive diagnostics and treatments that are critical to
achieving the absolute best care and outcome. To help these patients in need and
ensure that they get to their appointments on schedule, ABOH offers a transportation
service free of charge fueled by volunteer drivers.

If you love to help individuals in need, have experience with cancer and like to drive
your car, then this volunteer position is for you. There is absolutely no quota or
obligation as to how many rides that you must provide in a given timeframe. You simply
raise your hand to fill the transportation request when it works for you and fits your
schedule. It is that simple.

Your involvement directly supports our mission to improve lung cancer outcomes and
advance our fight against lung cancer. Together, we can make a significant impact and
move closer to a future free from this devastating disease.

If you’re interested in becoming an ABOH Driver and making a meaningful difference in
the lives of lung cancer patients, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and join us in
bringing hope and support to those who need it most. Together, we are making strides in the fight against lung cancer.

About A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation

Location:

Mission Statement

Defeating Lung Cancer, Bringing Hope Worldwide! A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation fights lung cancer by funding innovative U.S. lung cancer research, raising awareness and supporting lung cancer patients and families.

Description

A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation was founded in 2008 by a group of lung cancer patients who were concerned about the lack of awareness and research funding for lung cancer, the deadliest of all cancers. Societal blame has long held lung cancer in the shadow of other less deadly cancers, leaving a public that does not understand the risks, nor recognize symptoms. Currently, only 26.6% of those diagnosed will live five years following their diagnosis, and 60% of those diagnosed are nonsmokers. To raise awareness about lung cancer is to create a path toward improved wellness, earlier detection, and an increased survival rate. To this end, A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation holds events to raise awareness and help fund research focused on creating more survivors in our country. We also host programs that provide rides, companionship, and support groups to those who face cancer without the support they need.
