Hello, If you've found yourself on this description, I can assume you're a veteran, so a THANK YOU for your service is in order!
Veteran Volunteer:
Goal is to offer veteran patients a form of connection and ability to relate and understand their experiences.
Veteran Pinning: Each time a veteran is admitted to our services, we have a pinning ceremony to recognize their sacrifices. The We Honor Veterans Program is dedicated to providing more Veteran-centric hospice care at end of life. Heartland has achieved and maintained our Level 5 Star status; this means our staff has additional education and training for our Vietnam era and combat veterans. This opportunity would involve a volunteer who is comfortable and willing to travel to a patient's home or the facility they live in. The Volunteer Coordinator will provide more information after being contacted. The location listed is the Midland Office.
