Is this the year that you make a difference? Are you interested in connecting with community members on hospice services?
Volunteer opportunities are available at Beacon Hospice to provide friendly visits to patients and/or their families at local healthcare facilities or in their personal home in the areas of Auburn, Lewiston, Farmington, Naples and many other surrounding areas.
Volunteers are needed who:
- Play music for patients
- Are veterans interested in supporting veterans on hospice
- Want to make legacy projects and crafts with and for patients and their loved ones.
- Are willing to listen and talk, read a book, play cards, or watch a favorite TV show
*Companionship volunteers do not perform any clinical activities with a patient such as feeding, toileting, bathing or transferring.
*Volunteers schedule their own visits - day/time.
*Volunteers receive flexible training oppurtunities that fits into any busy schedule.
