At the Light the Night Walk, we gather together as a community to honor, celebrate, and remember those whose lives have been touched by blood cancers. The volunteers at this event will help with setup and cleanup of the event, handing out water bottles and snacks, directing people for parking, and setting up signage and decorations. They will also help with lantern assembly so that our walkers can walk with their light. The walk will be held at the Great Lawn (Whitman Terrace and McKinley Street). A community service letter is provided for those volunteers who need one.

The National Capital Chapter is in need of Volunteers for the IHOP National Pancake Day happening on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at DMV area IHOPS. On National Pancake Day, Tuesday February 25th IHOP will be giving away a free short stack of pancakes to all of its customers. In lieu of payment for the pancakes, IHOP is asking every customer to make a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Volunteers are needed to facilitate that ask by going table-to-table asking for donations. RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS: Be outgoing, charismatic, and engaged. This is not a passive volunteer role.
