Provide support to NHQ International and Service to the Armed Forces executives to improve internal communications, track taskers, troubleshoot challenges, prepare presentations, and manage calendars and agendas. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Support SAF/IS Executive Leadership to keep priorities on track, including logging leadership taskers and following up with assigned owners to ensure timely completion
- Support effective leadership meetings by preparing agendas, ensuring required inputs are ready, displaying decks, and logging and circulating follow ups
- Polish presentations for leadership briefings, including reformatting, copy editing and adding visuals
- Inform analysis for leadership decision by preparing or modifying spreadsheets, including formatting, flagging incomplete data and/or creating pivot tables to provide analysis
- Schedule and confirm appointments on calendar
- Other administrative support tasks as assigned
- May provide support to SAF/IS SVP during absence of SVP Executive Assistant
- May support inbox management
- May participate as a department representative on a cross-functional team or serve as a team lead for an intra-department project
Qualifications:
Required:
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
- Passion for the Red Cross mission and willingness to learn
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Professional, clear, and diplomatic communication skills to coordinate with various internal and stakeholder groups
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment
- Ability to handle varying schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills to organize and structure office routines, files, procedures, and projects
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook and web-based programs
- Experience working virtually
- High tolerance for ambiguity

- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.
- Must reside in the United States
