NKF Golf Classic Phoenix - benefitting the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona

Moon Valley Country Club , 155 W Moon Valley Drive ( 7 th Street & Greenway)

Arrival: 7:30am

Departure: Depending on rate of play, but most likely by 3pm

Attire: Golf attire - either golf polo or solid shirt. Black (yoga/jogger) or Khaki pants - no denim. Comfortable shoes.

Meals: Volunteers will be provided breakfast and a box lunch, water and soft drinks

3 volunteer opportunities: 2 volunteers needed for each opportunity

  1. Hole in One Hole
  • This contest is open to all golfers
  • Sit (in the shade) at the green near the predetermined hole for the Hole In One Contest
  • Volunteers must be always watching the green to make sure that if any golfer actually gets a Hole in One they can verify the actual shot.
  • Volunteers will not be able to leave the hole unless they have called for a replacement : two people must be watching at all times
  • Little communication/interaction with golfers.

  1. Marshmallow Longest Drive Contest Hole
  • This contest is open to only those with the Super Ticket bracelet
  • Volunteers will be stationed at the tee box at the predetermined hole
  • Golfers will be given a marshmallow to try and hit from their tee box ---- the golfer who hits it the longest will win a prize
  • Volunteers will need to interact with all golfers and cheer them on

  1. Fantasy Golf Hole
  • This contest is open to only those with the Super Ticket bracelet
  • Volunteers will be stationed at the tee box at the predetermined hole
  • Golfers will be given a scratcher ticket - they will scratch off the card and the golfer with the best score will win
  • Volunteers will keep track of scores for each player and then will turn them in at the end of play
  • Volunteers will need to interact with all golfers and cheer them on
