Come join Jumpstart on Saturday, September 21, at Fairyland in Oakland from 10-4. We will be distributing books to children, as well as facilitating fun activities (art, reading, games) for the children.

Jumpstart is a national early education organization working toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed.
Jumpstart aims to close the gap in educational achievement between children from low-income communities and their wealthier peers, before that gap appears. In pursuit of this goal, Jumpstart recruits and trains college students, called Corps members, to help preschool-aged children in low-income neighborhoods develop the language, literacy, and social skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Jumpstart inspires children to learn, young adults to teach and lead, families to become more involved in their children’s education, and communities to progress together.
