Hello! Heartland Hospice is looking for volunteers to join our volunteer program. We're seeking empathetic volunteers who are interested in spending quality time with patients, engaging in conversation, and offering caregiver and family relief.
Our clinical team focuses on providing care while the Volunteer Coordinator focuses on socialization and emotional support. Location: Depending on where the patients reside (private homes or facilities) changes the location of volunteering. All of the training and education necessary for successful will be provided by our Volunteer Coordinator.
Due to the sensitive nature of our business, Heartland Volunteers are held to the same expectations as our employees, which is why our onboarding process is thorough. After onboarding, when a patient needs volunteer services, the Volunteer Coordinator will assign the best-fit volunteer to this patient. From here, there will be a scheduled number of visits per 30 days. (VOLUNTEERS DO NOT PROVIDE CARE TO PATIENTS)

Our clinical team provides patient care while the administrative team operates from the office. Heartland volunteers help both teams to meet our expectation to provide exceptional care! The Midland & Bay City office is located in Midland however, our patients live between Sanford to Bad Axe.
