Beer in the Woods

Beer in the Woods offers hours of fun for everyone: tastings from a long list of local craft breweries and cideries, including special tappings and unique releases (21+), expert-guided walks through LaBagh Woods, nature-inspired crafts, music, food trucks, and much more!

This is a fundraiser for Friends of the Forest Preserves to support our advocacy work, conservation corps programs, and community engagement initiatives. Your help supports our mission: We unite people to protect, promote, and care for the forest preserves in Cook County, Illinois.

All volunteers will receive free admission to the event to enjoy the festivities before or after their shift.

Description

Friends takes a diverse approach to protecting, restoring, and promoting the forest preserves of Cook County. From engaging political and community leaders in policy decisions, to recruiting volunteers and contractors to restore forest preserves to ecological health, to providing paid jobs and training for the county's youth, Friends works to get everyone involved to help keep the forest preserves healthy and preserved for future generations.
