Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's (r) is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
Since 1989, the Alzheimer’s Association mobilized millions of Americans in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk(r) ; now the Alzheimer's Association is continuing to lead the way with Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Mission Statement
Our Mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Description
We are the primary community resource for Alzheimers disease and related disorders through family services, education, public policy and research. We serve 96 counties in Illinois and Missouri, Skilled volunteers join professional staff to participate at every level of service from office support to public speaking to leadership and more. The associations success and growth are due to the dedication nearly 1,000 volunteers, including students and interns.
