ORGANIZATION: Kentucky Habitat for Humanity Inc

HFH of Greater Cincinnati will be providing services to two veterans families in the Northern KY area, one in Covington and the other in Erlanger. Work to be done includes landscaping, cleaning. up yard waste, and other exterior work. HFH of Greater Cincinnati staff will be on site to direct the volunteers, which will need to sign a waiver on arrival.

Description

Incorporated in November 1993, Kentucky Habitat for Humanity Inc. is the state organization providing support to a network of 31 Habitat affiliates in 49 counties throughout the Commonwealth. KyHFH's provides services in the following areas; Resource Development, Advocacy, Educational Learning and Technical Assistance and Disaster Preparedness and Long Term Recovery. To date, Habitat. has newly constructed, rehabbed and repaired 6,951 homes, housed a total of 27,808 Kentucky adults and children, provided over six-million service. hours to our volunteers and invested close to $200 million dollars in affordable housing throughout Kentucky. Habitat is not a free program. We provide a very affordable mortgage based upon a homeowners income and what they can afford. Habitat is a hand up, not a hand out.

  • These two projects take place on 2 different days, 9/11 and 9/13. Work to be done will. include Pressure washing, securing beams on homes, concrete step patching, Trim fence line, fasten handrails, weed removal, painting, and some other smaller jobs
