Kensington Health Sciences Academy is hosting a weekly Latino Boys Focus Gorup for 9th graders. The group will be meeting weekly and topics of interest include: academic achievement, growing up Latino in the US, professional development, goal-setting, and addressing violence exposure.
Bilingual volunteers preferred.

Phildelphia's 20 Community Schools aim to remove barriers to learning and support the success of each student. The long-term goal of Community Schools is to ensure that every student graduates college- and career-ready, and that communities are healthy, safe, hopeful, and supportive. In each Community School, a Community School Coordinator supports strategic partnerships and programs that promote wellness, stability, and learning opportunities for students, families, and neighbors.
The Office of Children and Families has many upcoming volunteer opportunities. Tasks include supporting grocery giveaways and food pantries at Community Schools, serving as a Philadelphia Reading Coach (Fall 2024), and assisting adult learners through the Adult Education Program.
