HFH of Metro Louisville, KY's largest affiliate with over 700 homes constructed, rehabbed and repaired, will serve a veteran and assist him in upgrading his home with an exterior clean-up, repainting the foundation, landscaping, and cleaning his gutters. A group of volunteers has already committed to volunteer on that day, but a few more would be helpful. The event is from 830 a.m. till approximately 3 p.m. on Saturday, 9/14/24. Volunteers will meet at the homeowners home located at 3121 Northwestern Pkwy. Be sure to dress properly with closed toed shoes, long pants, and be sure to bring a hat and gloves if possible and any small hand held tools you may have. You will need to sign a waiver to work. Lunch will be provided.

KyHFH's provides services in the following areas; Resource Development, Advocacy, Educational Learning and Technical Assistance and Disaster Preparedness and Long Term Recovery. To date, Habitat. has newly constructed, rehabbed and repaired 6,951 homes, housed a total of 27,808 Kentucky adults and children, provided over six-million service. hours to our volunteers and invested close to $200 million dollars in affordable housing throughout Kentucky. Habitat is not a free program. We provide a very affordable mortgage based upon a homeowners income and what they can afford. Habitat is a hand up, not a hand out.
