Join us at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to help protect and preserve an important natural resource of Indianapolis--Fall Creek! We will be removing litter along the banks of the creek, where it often collects within vegetation. By picking up litter we will beautify our city while protecting our local ecosystems, including our soil, waterways, plants, and wildlife, from pollution. Litter prevention is one of the easiest things we can do to keep our city clean, but it takes all of us doing our part!
Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing, long sleeves and pants, and sturdy boots, as we will be working in an area where poison ivy is present. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide all supplies, such as litter grabbers, gloves, and trash bags, and Tecnu.
Parking + Facilities: Parking is available in the Millersville at Fall Creek Preserve parking lot. If this parking lot fills up, parking is available at the nearby Walmart (5550 E Fall Creek Parkway N Dr.) A portable restroom will be available at the preserve.
