Do you want to help ecologically restore our local ecosystems, and protect our waterways in the process? Then this project is for you! We will be working with handsaws alongside our Department of Native Landscapes Team to remove Asian Bush Honeysuckle, a harmful invasive species, along the White river. We will then treat the stumps with herbicide and drag the brush towards the chipper.

Parking & Meeting Location: Parking is available at the Riverside Park Family Center (2420 E Riverside Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46202), and restrooms will be available for use inside the Family Center. There will be a short walk to the project location.

Safety: Close toed shoes are required for this project. Pants and long sleeves are strongly recommended to reduce risk of poison ivy exposure, and only individuals with pants and long sleeves will be permitted to use herbicide. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide tools and gloves.
