Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Fundraising Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for securing financial resources through various fundraising activities and strategies. You will research globally relevant grants that align with Book Bytes’ mission, write and apply for these grants, and execute grant-funded projects. Additionally, you will develop and implement fundraising campaigns, cultivate donor relationships, and explore innovative funding opportunities to ensure the sustainability and growth of the organization. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about nonprofit fundraising and eager to contribute to a mission-driven initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify globally relevant grants that align with Book Bytes’ mission and objectives.
  • Write and submit compelling grant applications, ensuring all required documentation and information are included.
  • Manage the execution of grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement fundraising campaigns that engage donors and raise awareness of the organization’s mission.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners, ensuring ongoing support and engagement.
  • Explore innovative funding opportunities, including corporate sponsorships, individual donations, and online fundraising platforms.
  • Track and report on fundraising progress, providing regular updates to leadership on campaign outcomes and funding status.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to promote fundraising initiatives and donor recognition.
  • Stay updated on fundraising trends and best practices, integrating new ideas and strategies into the organization’s efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or a related field, ideally within the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong research and writing skills, with a track record of successful grant applications.
  • Experience in developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, with a focus on donor engagement and relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and pursue funding opportunities that align with organizational goals.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple fundraising initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to track and report on fundraising progress.
  • Passion for children’s literacy, education, and making a positive impact.
