Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Awards Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will focus on identifying, applying for, and managing the process of securing awards, honors, and recognition for Book Bytes. You will play a crucial role in elevating the organization’s profile by strategically pursuing opportunities that highlight our impact and achievements. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about advocacy and recognition in the nonprofit sector and has a talent for managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify award opportunities that align with Book Bytes’ mission and goals.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive awards calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare and submit compelling award applications, highlighting the organization’s achievements and impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information, data, and supporting materials for award submissions.
- Monitor the status of applications and provide updates to leadership on the progress and outcomes of award submissions.
- Build relationships with award organizations and stay informed about new and upcoming opportunities.
- Maintain records of all awards and recognitions received, and manage the promotion of these achievements through various channels.
- Work closely with the marketing and communications teams to integrate award wins into broader promotional strategies.
- Stay updated on trends and best practices in nonprofit awards and recognition.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing award applications, grants, or similar processes in the nonprofit or philanthropic sector.
- Strong research and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and submissions.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for award submissions.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage a comprehensive awards calendar.
- Passion for children’s literacy, education, and making a positive impact.
