to improve the home environment of orphaned and fostered children, widows and widowers, single women with children affected by poverty, homelessness, and domestic violence by providing furniture and housewares to those families experiencing difficult life circumstances and hardship.
Hope by Design is a nonprofit furniture charity serving families in nine north metro-Atlanta counties. We partner with homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, and other organizations that are helping families in need of affordable housing and furniture. We run a thrift store in Cumming GA to fund picking up furniture and delivering furniture to families in need. Volunteers are needed to unbox donations, organize inventory, and decorate the thrift store. Help is also need able bodied volunteers to move furniture and deliver furniture and home decor to families in their new apartments.
