Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, onboarding, maintaining employee records, and handling HR queries. You will play a key role in ensuring that our team is well-supported, organized, and functioning effectively. This position is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills who is passionate about creating a positive work environment in a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment support, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, performance evaluations, and other HR documentation.
• Handle HR queries from employees, providing guidance on policies, benefits, and procedures.
• Oversee employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
• Manage the performance review process, ensuring timely and constructive feedback.
• Coordinate training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and career growth.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations (South African labor laws).
• Support talent acquisition efforts by collaborating with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to identify staffing needs.
• Provide regular reports to leadership on HR metrics, employee satisfaction, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in human resources management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations (South African labor laws).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
• Ability to work independently and manage HR functions autonomously.
• Experience in maintaining employee records and handling HR queries.
• Passion for children’s literacy, education, and making a positive impact.
