Agriculture and Rural Development Volunteer
Stop Child Abuse (SCA) is recruiting a dedicated Agriculture and Rural Development Volunteer to support our initiatives in the Kakuma and Kalobeyei Refugee Camps.
Our mission is to promote sustainable family agriculture to improve food security and foster inclusive economic growth for refugee households in Kenya.
As a volunteer trainer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the agricultural practices of families within the camps. Your focus will be on three key areas:
1. **Improving Farm Production**: Training families on best practices for increasing the volume and quality of their crops.
2. **Supporting Processing and Marketing**: Assisting families in developing skills for processing, storing, and effectively marketing their agricultural products.
3. **Enhancing Access**: Contributing to initiatives aimed at rehabilitating rural roads and river ferries to facilitate better access to production areas.

Our mission is to advocate for the protection of children's rights and ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive. We strive to educate communities about the signs of abuse and the importance of reporting and preventing it. Our outreach programs aim to empower children, families, and communities with the knowledge and resources they need to protect themselves and each other.
Stop Child Abuse (SCA) is a nonprofit organization committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of children at risk of abuse and neglect. Founded in 2016, SCA emerged from a deep concern for the growing incidence of child abuse in our communities.
